For investors
FMS is a parental control platform that covers the screens the incumbents miss, and replaces pure blocking with a reward loop children actually opt into.
The gap we are in
Parental control is a crowded market on mobile and an empty one on the desktop. Kids360 is mobile-only. Google Family Link covers Android and Chrome. Kaspersky Safe Kids withdrew from the US market. Qustodio does cover Windows and macOS and is the closest comparable — and it is a pure-restriction product. FMS ships real Windows and macOS agents plus a genuine Android Device Owner enforcement tier, and pairs them with an earn-your-time economy.
Why the reward loop matters commercially
Pure blocking has a retention problem: the child defeats it, the parent stops trusting it, the subscription churns. A loop where completing an agreed task converts into screen time gives the child a reason to keep the app installed. Kids360 validated a light version of this mechanic; FMS makes it the core of the product rather than a bonus feature.
Monetisation
- Freemium — one child, one device, core limits
- Family plan — every child, every device, per family rather than per seat
- Household plan — unlimited children, two equal parent accounts
- Future: family marketplace commission
Key engagement metric
Approved tasks per active child per week. It is the one number that distinguishes a product a family uses from one they installed and forgot: it can only move if both the parent and the child are still participating. It is tracked in real time in the operator dashboard.
Technology
A single Flutter codebase for Web PWA, Android, Windows and macOS, backed by a modular NestJS API on Node.js LTS and PostgreSQL, with native enforcement agents per platform. Privacy boundaries are architectural, not policy-only: the product has no code path that reads message content, records calls or captures keystrokes.
