Refund and Cancellation Policy

How subscriptions renew, how to cancel, when you get money back, and why the answer depends on where you bought.

Last updated: August 8, 2026 · Version 1.0

Draft — company details not yet filled in

This document is not in force. It is published for review only: the operating entity’s details are still missing, and a contract without an identified counterparty binds nobody. Fill in the company environment variables to publish it.

Missing: legalName, entityForm, registrationNumber, registeredAddress, governingLawCountry, disputeForum

1. Current status

Paid plans are not yet on sale. No payment details are collected anywhere on this site or in the app today. This policy is published in advance so the commercial terms are known before anything is charged, and it takes effect for the first paid subscription sold.

2. Where you bought decides who refunds you

Bought viaMerchant of recordWho handles cancellation and refunds
Our website[[LEGAL NAME]]We do — under this policy
Apple App StoreAppleApple, under Apple’s own terms. We cannot refund an Apple transaction.
Google PlayGoogleGoogle, under Google’s own terms, though we may assist with a developer-initiated refund where Google allows it.

If you bought through a store and ask us for a refund, we will tell you promptly and point you to the right place rather than leaving the request unanswered.

3. Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price for your plan, until you cancel. Before you buy we show the price, the billing period, the renewal date and the fact that it renews.

For a yearly plan we email you a reminder at least 14 days before renewal. For a monthly plan we email a receipt after each charge.

4. How to cancel

  1. Bought on our website: open the subscription screen in the app, or write to [email protected].
  2. Bought on the App Store: cancel in your Apple subscription settings.
  3. Bought on Google Play: cancel in your Google Play subscription settings.

Cancelling stops the next charge. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for; we do not cut off access on cancellation and we do not pro-rate the remainder of a period you chose to end early, except where section 6 or 7 gives you a refund right.

When a paid plan lapses you move to the free tier. Nothing is deleted at that moment: devices beyond the free limit stop being managed, and history beyond the free tier’s window is hidden rather than erased, so resubscribing restores the full view.

5. Free trials

Where we offer a trial, we tell you its length, the price that follows and the date of the first charge, before it starts. Cancel any time before that date and you are not charged. We email you at least 3 days before a trial converts to a paid subscription. One trial per family account.

6. Statutory right of withdrawal (EU, EEA and UK consumers)

As a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract for digital services, without giving a reason.

Important: if you ask us to start the service immediately and acknowledge that you will lose the right of withdrawal once it is fully performed, that right ends when performance is complete. We ask for that acknowledgement explicitly at checkout rather than burying it, and if you do not give it, service starts after the 14 days instead.

Where you withdraw within the period and service has already partly been provided with your consent, we may retain an amount proportionate to what was provided and refund the rest. To withdraw, write to [email protected] — a plain statement is enough, no form required. We refund within 14 days of being informed, using the same payment method you used.

7. Our refund practice beyond the statutory minimum

For purchases made on our website, wherever you live:

  • Within 14 days of a first purchase — full refund on request, no questions asked.
  • Within 14 days of an unintended renewal you had not used — full refund of that renewal.
  • A fault that prevents the paid features from working and that we cannot fix in a reasonable time — full refund of the current period, whenever you report it.
  • A material reduction in what your paid plan provides — cancel and receive a pro-rata refund for the unused part.
  • A duplicate or clearly erroneous charge — refunded in full, whenever it is found.

Outside these cases we generally do not refund a period already used. We look at requests individually and would rather resolve a problem than argue about a small amount. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights in your country.

8. In-app units and top-ups

Stars and family units are not sold for money and no refund can arise from them. Where an adult paid real money for a top-up of an internal unit, an unconsumed balance is refundable on the same terms as a subscription in section 7; a balance already spent inside the product is not.

See section 7 of the Terms for what these units legally are.

9. Price changes

We may change prices. An increase never applies to a period already paid for. We give at least 30 days’ notice by email before an increase affects your renewal, and you may cancel before it takes effect. Where the law requires your active agreement to a price increase, we ask for it, and if you do not give it your plan ends at the current period instead of renewing at the new price.

10. Chargebacks

If something looks wrong on your statement, please write to us before disputing it with your bank — it is faster, and a chargeback triggers an automated process on both sides that neither of us controls. While a chargeback is open we may suspend the subscription it relates to.

11. How to request a refund

Write to [email protected] from the email address on the account, with the approximate date of the charge. We reply within one business day and, where a refund is due, issue it within 14 days to the original payment method.
